Learning Centres across the global Helen Doron English network are marking the end of another school year with graduations, performances, games and joyful celebrations shared by students, teachers and families.
It is a celebration of the completion of English courses, recognising every new word spoken, every challenge overcome and every moment in which a child found the confidence to express themselves in English.
Throughout the year, Helen Doron students learn through songs, stories, movement, games and meaningful communication. The positive and supportive classroom environment encourages children to participate without fear, enjoy the learning process and use English naturally from their earliest lessons.
End-of-year celebrations give children the opportunity to share that progress with the people who supported them along the way. For parents, they are a chance to see how much their child has grown. For teachers, they are a proud reminder of the confidence, curiosity and communication skills developed throughout the year.
Keeping English Part of the Summer
English learning doesn’t end when the school year ends. Summer break is where it grows!
Listening to familiar songs, enjoying stories, playing games and using English during everyday activities can help children stay connected to the language throughout the summer. Regularly exposing children to enjoyable English activities supports the natural learning process and helps children return to their lessons feeling confident and ready for their next stage.
Summer is also an opportunity to learn through new experiences. Holidays, family activities and time with friends can all create simple moments for children to hear and use English without it feeling like schoolwork.
