The Helen Doron Literacy Path

The Helen Doron Literacy Path is a supplementary series of workbooks that grow with your child, supporting their natural language development and strengthening their reading and writing skills. It supports early reading from age 2 and up. The Path is flexible, allowing each child to progress at their own pace.

The workbooks can be used in different ways:

  • As part of classroom learning
  • For guided practice at home
  • As enrichment or additional support

The Literacy Path Catalogue

Stage 1: Early Literacy Foundations

Age: 2–3 years

What your child learns:

  • Pre-literacy skills that prepare for reading and writing
  • Fine motor skills for holding and controlling a pencil
  • Early recognition patterns and visual awareness

At this stage, children are not yet reading – but they are building the essential foundations that make reading and writing possible later on.

Stage 2: Alphabet & Letter Awareness

Age: 4–7 years
